Tristan Harris has been called the "conscience of silicon valley". He worked for Google as a Design Ethicist until 2016, when he became so concerned about the direction tech was taking us that he quit, to set up the Centre for Humane Technology.
In this conversation with Rebel Wisdom's David Fuller, they discuss how the incentive structure of the "attention economy" is turning us into different kinds of beings, and that if we can't recover some human values, then the future for humanity looks bleak.
