We have several regular community calls, and many special one-off events. Some are oriented towards discussing cultural topics, others are more focused on developing skills around leadership, facilitation or communication.
Explorer Members are welcome to most of the official Rebel Wisdom calls, and Sensemakers are also invited to all, including our regular Wednesday sessions, the Q&A and Wisdom Gym.
On this call we discuss a current cultural or political topic, using many of the skills we talk about on the channel, such as mindfulness, curiosity and the pursuit of multiple perspectives. It is an exercise to make sense of a topic together, and meet others at a deeper level than the purely intellectual.
Our Academy Sessions are all about developing the skills we talk about on the channel. Once or twice per week we welcome a skilled facilitator to teach skills of leadership, facilitation and communication. These Academy sessions are designed to help our members increase their skills, develop emotional intelligence and to be more comfortable leading their own sessions.
Sara says: “We will learn the theory of facilitative, grassroots group leadership, and then immerse ourselves in the practice. Expect engaging sessions that will ask you to push your comfort zone, while providing a safe space to discover the leader that you want to be.”
Collective Intelligence Skills with Ria Baeck
Collective Presencing is a practice to draw on the collective wisdom of the people gathered. Based on deep circle practice, it weaves authentic, individual contributions into a new synergy, needed for the complex issues we need to deal with in our world.
Microsolidarity is a methodology for community building focussed on peer-to-peer support for personal development. We'll be experimenting with relational practices for creating intimacy and insight, and collective intelligence practices to spark new collaborations.
Every two weeks we hold a Q&A with one of the stars from our films (past guests include the likes of John Vervaeke, Nora Bateson, Douglas Rushkoff, Jamie Wheal & Iain McGilchrist).
All Sensemakers can submit questions for our interviewees, both before and during the sessions.
Our Wisdom Gym is a fortnightly call where we learn and practice some of the skills and practices we talk about on the channel, with some of the biggest names in facilitation, future confirmed guests include Gabor Mate and Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing).
Peter is the founder of the practice of Somatic Experiencing, and could be said to have revolutionised the field of trauma and growth. In this session we will learn about the history of the practice, and experience the practice for ourselves.
Gabor Maté is a legendary figure in the world of addiction and embodiment. In this session we will experience his latest practice, Compassionate Inquiry.
